Instructions Please
Was gonna try and do the add a leaf today. the instructions aint that great. anyone got any leads on a good set?im thinkin its self explanatory but want some just in case. i aint the smartest person lol

It's pretty straight forward Jethro. I did mine a couple months ago. Like most projects it helps to have a buddy helping ya out.
For the u-bolts I used a 3/4" puematic impact to break them loose. You might have to break out the hot wrench to get them loose. Some people say not to reuse the u-bolts but I did. I think the main concern here is make sure you check them after a day of driving or so.
To compress the leafs I used two little bottle jacks instead of a C-clamp. I was not able to torque down a c-clamp enough to get them all the way together. Also, when you drop the axle, make sure you don't let it extend far enough that it rips the brake line off. I put a cinder block under the hub to prevent that.
Oh yeah, don't forget to put the little 3x2" leaf that goes right above the axle when your putting it back together.

Mine went on bottom. I'm pretty sure yours will go on the bottom as well. What kind of leafs did you get? I will head outside and snap a couple pictures of mine for ya.

i got tuff country. im bein told top and bottom. was told it will have a "smiley" curve if i put it on the bottom. dont see how im gettin 2 inches any other way. let me know when you get pics. thanks alot

The add-a-leaf should be smiling at you when you install it. As far as torque specs I torqued it down until I thought it was ok. With a 3/4 inch impact you can really do some damage. lol

ok so put it on the bottom with it smiling. the instructions seemed they would go on top and i was thinkin that wouldnt even be an inch lol

Yeah I thought the same when I did mine. I believe TJ or c00n set me straight on that one. When you put it on the bottom its going to suck the old springs down to it. If that makes any sense.
I think it took me around 4 hours or so. I decided to do my shocks the same time so i had to run to the parts house and stuff. You can easily get it done in a afternoon.
