manual hub problem

i am having problems with the 4wd on my 89 f250, when i put it into 4 there is a clunking sound in the front end that keeps happening until the hub breaks, which doesn't take too long. the truck had a set of superwinch hubs on it when i bought it, and i grenaded the drivers side hub the first time out, i replaced them with warn hubs and i blew another one today. it's obviously not just the hubs failing, what else can it be in the front end??

could be something to do with bad bearings or if they arent greased properly when installed it would make them wear ten times as fast

i found the problem! i pulled the front end apart today and found that my spider gears were destroyed, luckily the ring and pinion looks alright, it looks like i'm upgrading to a locker...
