I have a 68 F100 with a Dana 60-3 semi-floating differential. I have a few questions.
Does anyone know if they make a sealed bearing for the axles? All I can find are the tapered open type.
On the good side the bearing is installed with the race on the outside. I thought the race went on the inside. The other side had the race to the inside.
Did Ford use a wider version of this axle on later 4X4s?
Sealed bearings last longer and are less prone to leaking. The Dana 60 used in 250s & 350s are full floating types, this one is a semi floater. I am noe at the point where if I can find a newer axle assy that I can make work I will replace this one.
