I got a 96 reg cab short bed f150 XLT 4x4 w/302 and my front springs are sagging pretty bad. I want to upgrade to the CC844S spring. My only worries is that the spring will lift to much and will result in positive camber beyond the correction of a normal alignment. Anyone foresee this as being a problem?
Also is there anything else i should purchase like bushings or bolts that might break off while im doing the swap?
I ended up getting about 4" lift out of them when they claimed no lift. I figured it would raise up some but not nearly like it did.
Now I have all new front end parts and can't get the alignment right. The local shop that specializes in Ford pickups told me it was the best they could do.
The guy said that if the front springs would settle about 3/4" it would be ok.
I responded that I intended to replace the sagging rear leafs next and he said that might help too.
I'm frustrated because I rebuilt the entire front suspension and now my front tires look like this: \----/ Can't really drive it right now.
I'm hoping that new rear leafs will transfer more weight to the front and lower it enough to allow for proper alignment.
Or else I heat those suckers and drop it an inch. I'd hate to do that but I don't have the $$ to buy another set nor do I want to go through changing the coils again.

Use caution is all I'm saying.
Good luck with your project.
um, i wouldn't put a torch to a spring, it will ruin the temper in the spring, and can cause it to break. i would use a chop saw, sawzall, or something like that to cut a half a coil off.
If you want to lower it, don't chop the spring.. Take the isolator off and replace it with one wrap of 3/4" heaterhose cut in half and ziptied to the spring.
