The engine will only hydrolock when coolant is on top of the piston.
And if you just bump the starter or if the engine sits long enough the coolant will leak down to the oil pan and the engine will run normally.

i have noticed its loosing kinda a tiny bit, but the radiator cap on my dads truck dont have the rubber seal, so i figure thats were the coolant is going and there is no pressure also cause there is no seal on the radiator cap
