My '91 F350 will not stop with the key!
Do I need a new selenoid, ignition switch? Where are they? THANKS
All the accessories go off but the motor runs?
First thing to do is to pull the wire off the Fuel Shutoff Solenoid. If you look between the "Vs" of the engine at the front you will see the injector pump (a unit with all the hard lines going to the injectors). Up on top of it you will see two fine gauge wires with pulg-on connectors. Pull both off with engine running but note where each one goes. If the engine then stops you have an electrical problem. If engine keeps running then the FSS is bad. Do not try to remove and replace the VSS without proper instructions.
There is a great page here for youe truck. Scroll down a bit from here to the Diesel Section and post any diesel questions on the pre-powerstroke page. Hope this helps.
