What projects do you have planned for this spring, truck or otherwise?
Me, I'm keeping on going with my house renovations, almost half done, and catching back up to being on schedule. Truck-wise I have no projects, other than to wire up the trailer brake controller. I may attempt re-engining my JD lawn tractor with a Briggs & Stratton if I have enough time, or I will just get by with my old Ford LT75.
this is my project. it is probably more a year project, i don't think it will be done this spring. but it would be nice to have it done by next summer. just click link below redneckfun
well in oct i blew my head gasket in my 69 with the 302. was too cold to work on it till this weekend. i was trying to figure out what was wrong, also cracked the exaust manifold so i fixed that first then found out about this. one of the header bolts didn't have a head, and the gasket blew out right there. so i finally got to tear the truck apart today and almost got it all back together. just need to fix the leak in the thermostat gasket and throw the new gasket in. only taking 5 months and the truck's my daily driver.lol
next is some leather seats, bucket's with a nice console in the middle, then it's time to start the bodywork.
i need a garage.
Don't really have a project, but I am looking to get a new (to me) truck. I'm searching hard for 2004 Fx4, no luck as of yet as the truck market is crap right now, but eventually...
Just finished re&re of steering box and repair of steering shaft and knuckle.
Saturday will be install and wire up new fancy brake controller for Travel trailer.
Then if all the ducks line up it's off to Tim for body and paint, then back to me for install of the new Griffin Rad and new wind shield and new weather stripping on the cap and tailgate install cap tinted windows and I still have to move the MSD box and wiring.
Crap I'm tiring myself out, but I'd like to have everything done by the Canadian Mercury Ford Truck Nationals.
It has a pendulum feature that sense the braking force of the vehicle and matches it exactly, they say this is a good feature for panic stops or backing into a trailer spot.
I mounted the unit in the truck by the parking brake handle ran a length of 14/4 cable from the 7 pin connector to the firewall now Saturday I just need to solder up and heat shrink the wiring then program unit and ready for hook up to travel trailer which I pick up near the middle to the end of may.
Rust is getting the better part of my '76. Likely goin to replace some parts or buy another truck and keep this one for the winter.
Hey Rick, I bought a fender off of a fellow named Steve, turns out that he went to Arthur with you last year.
