Interior replacements
'81 F100. I want to replace the dash cover and door panels. I don't think I want a cover that just glues to the existing vinyl, but haven't found anything else. I want the original padded vinyl, not the hard plastic type. Suggestions? Thanks

The last time I checked Ford had both the dash pad and the panels new.
But Numberdummy could find out if either are obsolete.
You would have to dye them to your interior color though, as charcoal for the dashpad, and grey for the doors was all that was avaliable.
Question: Does the doors have slide locks, or the more comon push button type locks?

I have a nice original blue dash pad wiithout any cracks. It's a little faded but would make an excellant repaint candidate. It's always best to repaint over the original color for best results.
Last time I was in the yard, there was a nice passenger side door panel. Driver's side is way harder to find in good condition because they wear much faster due to use.
I'm heading to the yard(s) again this weekend and I can take a look if you want.
Let me know about the dash pad.
