No! We aren't going anywhere. That is just a nasty rumor. We will be here the whole Summer. We may not even go into town for groceries.
Maybe we are going to visit my daughter for a short time, but with this crowd I'm not telling anyone when we are leaving or when we will be back.
We will be back when it cools down.

As I have said before, my cab corner is rusting, last night I took my Dremel and cleaned the rust, and the areas around it. Then put this rust treatment on it. I will let it cure for 24 hours then sand it down to smooth it out a little. Tonight I may do a light sanding around it and apply some primer to it, to get to the next step. In the end it make end up looking bad, but at least its kind of in a bit of a hidden spot. I plan to put a coat of paint on it tomorrow, then clearcoat tomorrow night, or Sunday.

When I got home Friday night, I decided to sand down the coating on the rust, then since I sanded it, I felt I needed to protect it, so cleaned it and put on primer. Saturday morning, I did a quick sanding and sprayed on the color, which turned out to be the wrong color, and I only discovered that someone had apparently switched paint can caps after I started. So I ended up with Harvest Gold on my Smokestone. I went back to Oreilly's and the color I need is discontinued in Duplicolor, so they are going to order me the right one through another source.
I finally got around to making progress on my leveling kit for the Jeep, I got the driver side installed, but the brake caliper, and disk fell from its resting spot, severed the string that was securing it in place, and the disk and caliper were heavy enough to brake the end of the brake line with a very small crack.
I ordered new lines for both sides, so that I don't question if all of the flex of off-roading is going to cause me issues on Black Bear, and in Utah. Those should be in later today hopefully!

Last night I worked on a tape measure alignment for the Jeep. I adjusted the track bar to center the axle, and got that spot on, but then I had to adjust the drag link to get the steering wheel back to center. It was getting dark when I got to that point, so I didn't get it where I wanted it, so I will drive it a bit, and then revisit that adjustment once things settle in a bit.

Well we got the SD back on the road on Wednesday night. I had a no start and did all the stuff I could including pulling some codes, changing the cam position sensor, new fuel filter and lots of head scratching and looking around along with two or three other 7.3 owners. I finally had it hauled to a former Ford dealer who runs a shop in Griswold Iowa. It turned out my loving pack rats had chewed some wires around the PCM and under the fender liner. After repairing the wiring, a under valve cover harness gasket and paying $400 it is good as new. A big thanks to Mike Hansen at The Shop in Anita and the guys at Wayman's repair in Griswold for getting me back on the road. No thanks to pack rats that inhabit the area where we live for making life miserable.
