Don't quote me, but i think there's like a colored film that's on the backside of the gauges. On another Ford vehicle i worked on i had to pull the cluster and sand down the colored film to get the white light to come through the gauge face. PITA it was having to remove the needles and re-install them in their original positions.

Basically, if there's a color filter there you'll need to get rid of it somehow.

i am ordering my leds from superbrightleds.com and they have a note saying that it will probably wont show red through the green filter. a friend of mine told me to get a new paceplate but i dont think that will change my original filter. but im not sure. the green filter just blocks all but the green light. and im tired of the green light. and another friend told me they will show red because the leds are so bright. i dont know. i dont wanna drop $100 into it without knowing for sure.
