CCV Mod Complete
I took the plunge and bought a kit, that in my opinion can be EASILY made in your garage for about 30.00 (+ the cost of hose).
It was scary what I found. My main elbow that feeds the turbo off of the air filter was completely deteriorated on the bottom side (where oil sat) from the oil saturation and bad installation by the tech who did my headgaskets.
The blue silicone hose that connects to the other side of the turbo has a large rip in the bottom side of the hose again from oil saturation.
I purchased the elbow today from FORD for 58.00 and have the other parts on order. I have the part numbers if anyone would like them for future reference
If any of you are planning on doing this either by spending money on a kit, making your own or venting to the ground.....do so ASAP and get that oil out of the intercooler and hoses.
I figure another couple months the blue silicone hose would have popped off.
