need some more help

i am getting ready to sand the rust from my truck bed. after i sand it i was going to put a primer on it and leave it at that til i could paint it. will that be ok like that or should i put some spray paint from the can on it?

I hope you just mean surface rust!(bare metal surface rust)

If so,some good self etching primer first then some good urethane primer or good laquer based if you have to.
The onlt thing that seals out weather is Epoxy and Urethane.
All else is just temperary.

Hi, Blue is right use the etching primer it is important especially on the bed or on a truck for that matter because of the beating they take and the primer is only temp. if it is left to long it will rust through the primer JOHN(FATFORTY)
