Water Seperator
I am in a little bind here. I am on vacation and need some advise. The (water in fuel light) came on and I would like to drain it myself. How much fuel should I expect to drain. I want to make sure that I have a container that is large enough. There is a Napa auto near by, so if I need to get something i haven't I can get it. So how big of a container?

I don't know the exact volume but it is less than a quart. I used a gallon jug and there is not more than 1" of fuel in it after draining it twice. It really isn't much.
BTW, The Outer Banks is one of the best vacation spots in the US (in my opinion). You're in Nags Head, right?

when you drain it off, typically you will only need to drain off about a pint or so. As you are draining it look at the color for an indication. Usually the first few seconds worth are going to contain the water.
A small contain should be just fine.

juneau76 yes I am in Nags Head NC. The weather is......well I just spoke to my son back home in Canada and he said it was 58 this afternoon and here in Nags Head it's 46 and raining. I had to keep my young son occupied so we when driving on the beach and did some surf fishing. Anyway I will drop over at Napa and purchase a 6mm allen key to drain the water out.
