Dash Problem with read out??

My dash readout is screwed up, no digital readout, I took my cluster to the Ford OEM authorized repair agent anf they want 750.00 to fix it, I can buy a used cluster for 200.00. If I swap the cluster will my mileage stay the same? Or will it read whatever was on the New(used) cluster I buy?? I do not want to lose my mileage reading for warranty purpose?? Thanks Guys

If you change out the cluster, you can do the work, but Ford will have to program it.

Not 100% sure, but I think the odometer reading is taken from the engine computer. That doesn't mean that you don't need to get to the dealer to program it.

80, but does the dash have to be program to work on your truck???? That's a different question that I don't have the answer for.
