E40D's are junk please help

E40D's are junk please help

i have a 94 turbo diesel and have tried two different transmissions and both do the same thing when i put it in reverse it will pop and grind what could this be, and also how hard would it be to change to a manual becides, pedals and drive shafts

2X4 or 4X4........ the reason I ask is do you have a transfer case. What does it do in forward gears.....

Welcome to FTE and the IDI diesel forum.

If two transmissions act the same way, it sounds like the problem may be something else.
