Help with Transmissions????
Ok I've been looking around trying to find out which transmissions work for a 5.0 1993 F-150 XLT.. I came across a few but wasn't sure what was what?? I been looking into doing the solid axle swap in the front but the catch is that i have a 2wd truck.. I know everybody says just sell it but sometimes it's easier to fix it than sell it. Nobody wants to buy stuff these days for some reason..
What could be a good cheap tranny and tcase to throw under it. I ain't even sure what tranny it has under it now I just got it back from having a crack head put in a tranny in so I'll have to look. Like I said me and my father are good welders and aint scared to fab something up to make it work. I got a 1970's model solid axle being lined up if I just can find out what kind of tranny and tcase to run with it..
Like I said don't go hating on me off the get go.. If push comes to shove I'll put it up for sell if I can't find the parts I need. I appreciate any help anybody can give. I have search thru a few different sites Fullsizebronco and here and seen where people have done it but I need a checklist of things I need or things I need to start calling around for: certain tranny and tcase searches and compatable axles..
