I'm looking for a NOS headlight switch for my Thunderbird. The vacuum side of my switch went bad. Don't really want reproduction, as the **** winds up sticking out by an inch. P/N stamped on my switch is C9SB-11654-A.
Thanks,
I forgot about those vacuum operated headlight doors. I guess vacuum operated systems were cheaper to build than electric systems in those days. Our '64 Continental had vacuum power door locks.
Ford loved to use vacuum back then. door locks, headlight doors, trunk release, and the ATC system is half electric and vacuum operation all the blend doors. Wiper motor is operated by the power steering pump.
Classique Cars is mainly used on a last call bases. She wants way to much for here stuff. I'm hoping Bob's T-Birds will come through.
Most everyone used vacuum wipers, only Ford could come up with that crazy hydraulic system. The PS pump was not belt driven on that Lincoln, but on the front end of the crankshaft.
Tbirds of the '60s were more like baby Lincolns than Fords, with a mixture of regular Ford and some special Lincoln parts. Restoring one has to be a challenge.

P/N stamped on my switch is C9SB-11654-A. This is not the part number. Ford did not put actual part numbers on parts after 1956. The only number on parts after that year are ID numbers.
I work at an auto parts store and came across a head light switch that also has a vacuum switch on the back of it.#sw871adovy11654b in a motorcraft box. I talked to the boss and he said $100 shipped. Let me know

Thanks, but I was able to take mine apart, clean it and rebuild it.
