squealing driver's side Hub
I still have the ESOF and it's working but when I engage the hubs I get a squealling noise from the Drivers side Hub. This started after a really cold spell and I have only used it very sparingly since. I'm thinking needle bearing need's to be serviced but if that was the case wouldn't the squealling be 24/7 and not only just when the hubs are engaged? The squealling slowly subsides as I drive along a few miles. I have 62K on the truck now and it's mostly stock i.e. tires. I didn't want to pull the locking Hubs until after the winter is done just in case they are garbage and need to order new...

that was going to be my next step if the quick spray didn't take care of it. I probably will try to tear into it this spring though and check it all out. truck has 100K miles on it now, so I'm sure it could use it.

great thanks, I'll try the spray and if it quiets down then I'll know it's just the locking hub that needs cleaning/regreasing. The thing is if you pull the hub I guess you have to replace the o-ring or the vacuum may leak so you may want to pick up a couple before hand.
