Wheel Alignment

I recently got an alignment on my 2wd 2003 F250 V10 crew cab. I had the tech set the toe-in to .05 degrees on both sides. I was told years ago by a ford dealership shop foreman (who owned a 250 diesel) that this was the preferred setting for these trucks. The truck now is riding a lot smoother with no wander, but its seems to have a lot less response when turing the wheel. For instance when going down the highway at 70 mph, you can turn the wheel about an inch both ways and bearly feel it. Is there any setting that people have been real happy with. I was told that you're not supposed to set the toe to zero, that both sides should be the same, and some amount of positive toe is desired.

I don't know about a 2WD, but I had my 4WD set to 0.0 toe and slightly positive camber on both wheels, and it made a HECK of a difference. Tracks like it's on rails and is twice as responsive as it was (slightly toe'd out, and negative/neutral camber both wheels).

Best $100 I've ever spent on that truck.

My final readings were:

Caster: Left 4.3
Right 4.5

Camber: Left 0.7
Right 0.1

Toe: Left 0.5
Right 0.5

All were within specs
