02 front axle seals

02 front axle seals
How big of a job is it to tear down the front end of a 02 excursion to replace the outer axle seals? I've never had a 99 and newer Ford apart, do the hubs etc tear apart like the older ones? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

its not a hard job. Had my 2000 ex apart in about 1 1/2 hours. The bad news is the only seals the part stores carry is the axle seals. there are hub seals and o-ring you will need. These you can only get at ford. I did mine about 2 weeks ago and spent 125.00 at ford. here is a good link to all the how-to info.
