tranny?

i have a 88 250 4x4 5.8L the flywheel was bad so i pulled the trans down to change it i did it successfully runs good but when i changed the trans filter/gasket the truck wont go unless i punch the throttle and then it jerks in and goes its shifting at a high rpm too i dont have any other ideas please help thanx doug

U hook up the vaccum line from the intake? if c6.

Did you put a new gasket on the filter? Did you get the old one cleaned off good? Did you torque all the little bolts to speck? Is the fluid level good? RB

they were having problems with the trans filter dropping off the mount hole ie not pulling trans fluid up! check it! it shifted fine before the pull down right?
