check engine light?
yesterday i was unloading my camper and the engine started revving and dropping on its own from about 1200 - 400rpms.
the check engine light came on at this point and after a few seconds of this i shut the truck off.
started back up and drove normally, and has ever since- but the check engine light was coming on every 2nd start or so all afternoon.
last night i disconnected the batteries and pulled the headlight switch to "on" for several hours to reset the computer. drove it 20 miles this morning with no problems. i had never heard of the headlight switch needing to be on to reset computer/codes but i read that somewhere and figured it couldn't hurt.
anyone ever experienced a similar rpm rev/drop CEL issue before?
