i just ordered a leafspring mount for my 1993 ford f150 2wd. my old one broke this winter as i was hauling a bed full of wood for a family member. i was wandering if there was anything i should know before a jump into this project. im pretty sure all i gotta do is grind out the old rivits and take the bolt out if the shackle and replace it all? any suggestions????

I would have two jacks ready. Being able to lift the axle and frame seperately makes it much easier to take the weight off the shackle and makes it a breeze to refit. The only other problem is if the bolt is siezed in the bush. On mine I had to burn the bush out and then get the bolt out of the old steel tube and then fit a new bush.
Other than that it is akward, frustrating but not that difficult.
Good luck with it.
