doing my first oil analysis
I just went and got my oil at advance 11.99 a gal until march 25th by the way. and I have it hot, the oil is stirred and I hope i dont screw it up!

It's hard to screw up. Let it drain for a couple of seconds before you take the sample. Either drain it straight into the sample jar, or into a different clean container that you can fill the jar with later. No big deal. I'm sure you'll do fine.

I didn't get my first OA till around 255 or 260. Kind of anti-climatic when it comes back better than most of the averages they list. Change your oil when you're supposed to. Fix something if you think it's wrong, and you'll be fine. You've got about 50,000 less than I do right now.

that is something that i always do. Although my truck seems to smell like it is running rich, like the exhaust is always pungent. Sometimes it will have that traditional psd sweet smell but mine never has. I don't know why. brb need to do the filter and fill.
