help wanted
i'm currently doing research for a family S.U.V , one of my choices was the explorer can anyone shed a light into which year was the best, reliability? fuel economy? power? safety?

You are confused, there is no such thing as SUV/Truck and fuel economy. You will have to chose either one or the other.
What are you expecting to pay?
Will you ever use the vehicle OFF road?
Family ??? Who will be driving and carrying what??
