Hi, I'm planning on getting a 2010 Platinum, the last roll out cover I had was a vinyl covered one, I found that it was constantly fading no matter how much Armoral I applied to it. I've been checking out the Pace Edwards Full Metal cover, just wondering if anybody has one & what do they think of it, thanks

Armoral was half the problem you experienced, it dries out the fabric and causes other issues. I replaced the tarp on a roll-n-lock once because the armoral had dried it to the point that staples pulled through. Drive through car washes with wax is another issue, the wax gets into the pores and turns it grey.
I have the bed locker on my current truck which is the FMJR, but with an electric motor. The textured finish is not that easy to keep nice, it's paint not a fabric, but tire dressing still looks the best on it. Pace Edwards recommended a spray wax that doesn't harden and turn white, but I don't have any of that. I've tried instant detailers, back to black, vinyl dressing and tire shine.
Overall I like the aluminum slats better then the standard vinyl over aluminum from PE or RNL.

Thanks for your input, yes mine was starting to get that greyish look, on top of that some clown flicked his smoke from an upper balcony onto it, burnt through.
There is a van and truck world close to me, think I'll go with the PA Full Metal Jack Rabbit, seems to be one of the best.
