What transmission do I need to convert a 1993 f150 from 5-speed to automatic? Can I use my existing transfer case and/or computer? Truck is 4x4 with 300 6 cylinder. Any advice? Thanks.

Reason: Wrong forum
If u didnt want to play around with much wiring id get a non compter controled trans like a c6 or an aod. The transfer case should work but u may have to find or make driveshafts, As different trans are different lengths

AOD sounds like the simplest way and I think I can find one out of a fox body mustang. What about the computer, will the existing work with an AOD? Flexplate?
why are you doing auto with the six cylinder?
many people want to switch to 5 speed when they have that motor to get the most
useful power out of it
i would say a c6 or aod but i dont know anything about computers someone will fill you in on that
