Need Help With Some Wire Identification

The truck is a Regular cab Short Bed 1994 f150. 4.9L, 5 speed mazda, 4x4, XLT. The Pigtail for the fuel pump (steel, in between frame rails, behind rear axle, 18G?) has fried, and without thinking, I cut the wires on both sides, thinking that the wires were all the same. As my luck has it, they are not, the only wire that is the same is the black wire, I am assuming ground. 2 wires are about 14-16 guage, and 2 other wires are 18 guage If anyone could tell me which chassis wires go to which fuel pump wires, i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance, rocketfootballer

never... never... never cut the wires on both sides.... just do the one thats messed up and try to put it back in the right place. why did it fry? was it a short or was there external heat that did it??? if its an electrical problem that caused your fried wire hooking it back up won't fix your problem, the wires melt when there is too much power so they won't damage a more important (expensive) part of the truck... no idea where to find a diagram for the wiring, not one in color especially... good luck with that though, let me know how it turns out

The wires were corroded from the salt up here i do believe. The pump was working, but was weak and was cutting out, so i do believe that the wiring was the problem of this. The pump never quit working so i don't think that i fried anything, the wire just corroded and eventually started falling apart and getting the green color that copper does, none of the wires were burnt. Any way i can check this with a DMM and get voltage readings??? I tried, but i kept getting OL.
