2006 power steering

I have a 2006 f-350, 4x4, diesel, automatic trans. with 43000 miles. my power steering pump was leaking, replaced pump and the new one is leaking after only 3-weeks. do i have another problem possibly causing the pumps to leak?

take the pump back, should be under warranty. Where is the leak at?

It is leaking at the shaft seal, It seems unusual for an original pump to go bad at 42000 miles and then the replacement pump to go bad after 1000 miles. the new pump did not leak after installation.

It is strange. I would say you did nothing wrong and I have not really heard of any reports of them going bad.
