I have a problem!!!!!!!!!!!!
So you ask what is the problem, well those rims are $400.00 each now add tires and install and taxes and I'm looking at $2800.00 dollars.
I really like the rims and tires but I think for that kinda cash I can get a passable paint and body job.
Get my old rims painted to match the truck with some new tires and presto bingo crappy faded paint job with some rust is gone and shiny is here.
So what thinks the clan?
Shiny rims or shiny truck?
Also any ideas on paint schemes for the rims would be welcome.
Rick.
More than one budy!! but lets not digress.
Hey you asked for opinions! My two cents...I keep hearing that the price of paint jobs is going to sky rocket when the province puts clean air legislation in place and forces body shops to get environmental friendly paint booths. Some all ready have these kind of booths. The days of a $1000 paint job are long gone. So IMHO get the best paint job you can afford now. Rims (and maybe tires too) can be found for less if your patient. Barrie has some good deals at the summer and fall meets, of course you need cash in hand but be patient you'll find something you like for a better price.
As for a paint scheme,...lets see you have a green interior so your colour choices are kinda limited. Flaming Hot Pink might work? but it might draw to much attention and to lead to assumptions about your lifestyle?
Seriously, I would stick to a green of some kind maybe lighter or towards a blue/green. My personal preference would be to stick with the original colour but go two tone and add white or cream to the roof and possibly inside the racetrack trim ( i think you have trim?).
