What is the going market for a F1 frame. Front and rear suspension intact. Wheels included. Steering gear is also there. Running board brackets intact. No engine, trans, or bodyparts. Frame rails or cross members in fair condition or better. Selling price.
A lot of the rat-rodders look for the F1 steering box, pedals, transmission crossmember and the front suspension. I usually part out a frame if I have the time and get about $50 for the pedals/crossmember, $150 for the front suspension assembly and about $50-100 for the steering box and shaft assembly (depending on condition).
If you can't sell the frame as a whole, I suggest parting out and scrapping the left overs.
I'm with 51 PanelMan on this one. The problem with sell a roller frame is it would almost have to be local as shipping is big $. You may be lucky and find some one near by. Parting out would probably net you more money but would be a lot more work. The $200-$250 range sounds right for my part of the country but don't know about your area. I would try local Craigslist and if it doesn't sell then try parting it out.
Thank you gentlemen. I was offered one hundred. I offered it at two hundred. I told this aquaintance he would be better off logging on to Ford Truck Enthusiast and go to the swap meet section and buy a complete truck. He stated the last time he was on his wife's computer he paid hell for losing an icon. What's a wife? RLOL.
I've found frames to be tough to sell but guessing roughly $200.
Wow just $200, man I am glad I didnt get that 55 I wanted from a classic car junkyard. Idiot wanted $5,000 for a rusted out 55 with nothing but the frame and the body not even with the front sheet metal. Said he could hack off the frame at the firewall and sell it or $5,000 alone
