Well i have a nasty vibration at idle. Only time i can feel it. it shakes the whole cab around and then stops and does it again about every 5 seconds. RPM is not changing or anything like that. Been like this for about three weeks now, and its getting really annoying, and possibly worse, as in more severe vibration.
Your truck is stock right? Cause Im familiar with that problem on trucks with chips/ programmers acting weird. It seems like theyre spiratcially misfiring on the injectors. WAG check your IDM, or run some injector cleaner see if that helps. As for the tach not showing a change I wouldnt bet on that. If you take a diagnostic tool and put it on most any of these trucks you can watch the tach fluxuate 75-10 rpms at any given time, the factory tach is just kind of an average, it will only register significant spikes. A weak, dirty or failing injector or two wont nessasarily slow down the engine seriously as long as theyre still firing, which at higher RPM they might be doing a better job, but again its just a wag. Have you chk'd to see if its got any codes.
Off topic did you get your trailer gizmo you asked about the other day wired up?

Truck is stock, down to the air box and the cat and muffler.
How do i WAG test the IDM? I do have a knocking that could be an injector too. But when this first started, i popped the clutch in 1st gear and layed down some rubber, and ever since it has not been the same. it really revs up really quick in 1st gear with the 4.10s too.
It does have a code, its 1395 showing that the glow plugs are not taking enough voltage when on, Indicating i have a few bad ones (lazy to fix, and really dont have the money to fix, got to finish the race car, racing starts in less than a month and a half)
And no I have not wired up my trailer jack yet, have not had much time, I loaded up the car yesterday and my tools, and backed it behind my fence, but have not done the jack yet, going to try today most likey.
I do need a new clutch (starting to chatter) and new syncros in my tranny (grinds into 2nd when RPMs are above 800), but i was going to put that off til graduation and use some of my graduation money for that. How can i confirm that my Dual Mass Flywheel is the problem? If it is, will the LUK Single mass kit hold up to towing?
