I have an 02 CC SD with the captains chairs in the front. It has a great-huge center console box thinger. I have 3 kids, so the truck is the perfect fit...
...until kid #4 arrives in July. I found a wrecked extended cab with the same color interior, that has a fold-down center console seat. I measured and believe that it would fit fine in my crew-cab between the front seats, if only I could find a way to remove the armrests (and cover the holes with a cap of some sort, of course).
So I have 2 questions:
#1. Will the console seat, indeed, fit?
#2. How would I remove the armrests?
It will fit but the problem will be the armrest stops. Those stops are welded onto the frame of the seat. You could cut them off and then just patch up the hole in the fabric somehow.
Pull for the rear of the armrest cushion to expose the bolt needed to remove the armrest.
