Wierd AC Problem
So I noticed that my AC wasn't getting as cold as it should, yes it's getting hot down here in Houston. I added a can of freon but no effect. Wierd thing is that when I push the button for face/feet the air is tolerable. When I push the full face button the air gets warm. Go back to face/feet and it's cold again. So I push max. AC and it gets warm again. Auto AC is also warm. Any thoughts on what this might be before I take her to the shop. She is already out of warranty and I have checked the fuses.

Have move the temp all over the place and the heat works fine. Now when I say the cool air is tolerable I mean it's cool but not cold.

Anyone else have any thoughts on my problem.

The system probably needs to be evacuated and recharged. Adding a can of refridgerant won't necessarily make the system cool better. If there is ANY air in the system it will reduce the cooling ability of the system. Your best bet is probably going to be taking it in to a shop for repair. These r134 systems don't cool as well as the old r12 systems did anyway. Dan.
