Weather strip

I have a 1978 F350 and was wondering if there is supposed to be some sort of rubber weather strip between the fire wall / cowl and the rear end of the hood. There are small holes along the top of the fire wall but I am not sure if these holes were for a rubber strip, or for clipping wires to. There are some wires hanging below these holes, and some of the holes have a small chunk of a brownish rubber/plastic still in them. I looked at a 1977 F250 but it looked similar to mine so I am stumped.....Thanks

Weather strip

Yes there is a weatherstrip that runs along the firewall and cowl. I replaced mine a few years ago from Ford. It is pretty small and I am not sure it does a whole lot.
