i need to change my cold side turbine due to chips and sand blasting, i was wondering if anyone had a detailed process or something of the sort about changing the blades on a turbo, and also i tools list if possable. where i can work, and where my tools are, are about 30 minutes apart and this is the only ride i have so im trying to get all the info and tools and stuff at the same time. any help would be great

I've never had the impeller side torn apart on the stocker. IIRC you should be able to take out the bolts that holds the outside housing off. I think there are four of them? Once you have the housing off you should be able to take the nut off the end of the shaft.

I don't think you'll run into any show stoppers as long as you take you time.

Might be a good idea to inspect your o-ring from the impeller to the intake y and the boots to go with it.

Should be about the same as doing it on the newer 7.3's. You'll need a socket set with a couple of different extensions, a torque wrench, a handful of rags (to plug up the intake plenums etc.), a couple of new o-rings for the pedestal, and a pair of vice grips.

Bob has a pretty good write up on his site. Here's a link to his wicked wheel page http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?...PROD&ProdID=47

Scroll down near the bottom and he has a pdf link with pictures on how to change out the wheel.

It's not really that bad. Takes less than half the time the second time you do it. Just make sure the baby's butt (Y manifold off the up pipes) lines up to the back of the turbo correctly. Otherwise you end up with a big exhaust leak, no boost, and the turbo has to come out again.
