Got mine mounted on both mirrors, duals. You can pic up these and other mounts to your liking at your local truck stops, priced reasonable.

the problem I always had with mirror mounts on a pickup was grounding issues and not being able to get the far enough apart causing high SWRs

Wilson 1000 mag-mount, right in the center of the roof?

Good antenna, right place.

Hey,
I always use a stainless hood mount that fits cleanly between the hood and the fender. That way it never gets cleaned off the truck in the drive thrus and car wash. Hustler makes them I know, and I think Roadpro does too.

good luck,
Tim

I bought a "No Ground Plane" mount that clamps down on the stake hole in the corner of the bed...I love it. Inconspicuous when there is no antenna, and out of the way of the 5th wheel when I'm towing!

I have a K40 with a 120lb magnet on the roof (Had it there for the last 2 years). I ran the antenna wire through a groove that I cut in the top of the center brake light housing (Then sealed with clear silicone of course). Looks and works great!

I have used magnetic mounts before, but right now I have a Rami antenna that I was able to mount in a hole on the bed rail (no extra hardware required).

Wink

I just last week had a Wilson 1000 roof mount installed in my '99 F350 CC.
Best place, and I bit the bullet and had it done, drilled a hole and was done with it, it will unscrew for low clearance areas that I would go, but so far I have not had to remove it, how ever I wish I'd seen the writeup on the F250 before I bit that bullet-don't ask why.....
