on my 91 f150 i have slight rust bubbles, they are on the wheel well on my bed.. I dont want to have to go threw q ahuge pricess but I also want to stop the rust beofre it gets through and gets worse any suggesttions
This is not going to be what you want to read but.... if you have bubbles in the paint from rust .....you have rust (you know like a woman just being "a little" pregnant ).
Here in Vermont we oil undercoat our vehicles. Not the most "nature safe" method but it does work. If a vehicle is in the state as you described the oil undercoating will normally prevent the rust from spreading. All the body panels are drilled and oil is injected...quite a mess for a few days but well worth it.
Auto transmission fluid. I douse my cab corner with that stuff, it works great. Another good suggestion is keep it washed! I'm in Ohio and I wash mine once a week to get the road salt off of it! And keeping a coat of wax on the problem area is a good idea, too. Good luck with your project!!
