As far as your replaceing stock parts and bolt on's, I would suggest that when something breaks, have it fixed. Skip the lift and the 33's 35's and changing the gears in the axles.

what do you plan on using this rig for. the exhaust is the major bottleneck on our broncos. installing headers, new custome y pipe and single 2.5-3" exhaust running out stock location helps lots. keeping the motor in tune is also important. bumping the timing from 10 to 12*btdc with spout removed helps. gap some copper plugs to .50-.55 and run some good quality plug wires like FMS 9mm etc..

nothing wrong with lifting the rig and running larger tires. with 35's 4.56 is minimum, i am running 4.88's and love the setup. also use the search feature, lots of this has been discussed to great detail.

I personaly like the 4:88's with my 38s. Might like them a lil more with some 35's though. Having said that i have a 9" so you may want to check the streanth of the 8.8 with such a deep gear. As to lifting it go for it, just make sure you get the lift you want, theres just not much worse than gettin a 4'' lift then thinken or wanting a 6 or 8. I agree on the timing, tune ups and exaust. My 94 had a aftermarket y a 3" converter and 3" staight pipe exaust, no muffler and it sounded good with out being obnoxius.

Fix the truck up the way you want, thats what the vehicle hobby is all about. There is so much performance stuff out for the 351 now that the sky is the limit. They can be stroked up to a 427 for gobs of torque. Yeah, gears are so important when adding bigger tires. Anything else is mute without proper gearing.

i wouldnt look at a stroker at this time. there are other things needing addressed first and honestly if you regear to compensate for the taller tires you will be in better shape.

also stroking efi motors is spendy, figure $3000-5000 into the build

Yeah, proper gearing for your tires should be your first concern, then motor.
