cat and air pump
What size belt do I need to remove my air injection pump on a 88 5.0? and I have a hole in my cat and I was wanting to just remove the cat but cannot find a cheap y-pipe to turn the pipe before the cat to something I can adapt to a single pipe.

Either buy a smog pump eliminator pulley, or do what I did and take the smog pump apart and gut it. Running a shorter belt is a half-assed solution, do whatever you can to keep the stock size belt.

I recently took off my smog pump on my 92 F150 5.0. I used Gates part number K060878. It is 88 and1/2 inches long. Was a little on the tight side. But fit. Haven't had any problems with it. Thanks 1994 F250:351,C6 for the Y pipe link. I was looking for one of those also. Going to build a better exhaust system when it warms up.
