Air intake idea

I removed the core from my a/c part of the plenum box on my Bronco and was wondering if this would make a good inlet for my intake? I want to block it off from the rest of the heating system and use it as a cowl induction. Would be plenty of cool air. The radiator core support leaves little room for upgradeing. What do you guys think will this work or is it a pipe dream?

Make sure you have drains that will let any water out.

My main problem with cowl intakes is they are higher than the intake.
Water runs downhill.

A rain storm and a couple clogged drains could spell disaster.

Well what an idiot I am! I removed the a/c half of the plenum box and wouldn't you know it the fan blows threw it into the heater core then into the cab. There is no way to block it off and use it for my intake idea.

I was wandering why you wanted to get rid of your heater (but I've seen stranger things.)

I thought about no heater this past weekend lol. But now we have fallen back to the 30's for highs and 20's at night. Think I will need the heater! Dave, that is an idea I didn't think of thanks this may work out yet. After I gave up on this idea I started working on forward contorls for my bike, can't see paying $400-600 for something I can do for nothing but my time and make them from stainless!
