somewhere along the line of previous owners of my 54 f100 someone cut up the dash for a radio! is it easier to replace the dash with a different one or repair the butchered one? i have 2 cabs with good dashes but not a lot of bodywork experience. do they have to be cut out? it looks like there welded but havent removed the lower mouldings on the inside of the windshield, the lower one above dash, any help would be appreciated THANKS
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 20-Mar-02 AT 10:48 PM (EST)]Went and looked at the dash on my 54 panel project and it looks to me like that dash was put there to stay.Lots of spot welds. And I think it would require removing windshield.I dont think I would try to replace entire dash unless the old one is in really bad shape. Can you just weld in a patch and fill/sand? If it is really bad you could cut a patch from annother dash and make a patch panel. As for not having a lot of experience. This is how you can get it.
