tailgate panel

i have a 94 f150 xlt with the panel on the back, it was backed in a tree or something, well anyways there is a fat dent in it, its just the panel though, it looks like i could remove it and hammer the dent out but im afraid to pry it off. does anybody know if its glued on or something or can i take it off an put it back on pretty easy? any feedback appreciated

I dont know about your year .But I had a 87 and the panel screwed on from the inside of the tailgate.As in clear through the tailgate.
