Part number and source needed
I need a rear main seal for a 1990 5.0 truck in 2 piece.
the parts stores only sell the 1 piece - I guess no one replaces seal/bearings with the engines in anymore....

No 2 piece rear main seals are listed in the 1990 and later parts catalog. One piece only.

I'm building a 5.0 for my 94 and wanted to do a two peice. I found that even though a two piece designed for an older 302 may fit a 5.0, its really not designed for a 2 piece. I'm going with the one piece.

I know they only list the 1 piece now (this is the original 90 engine and the other 90 I have sits under a tarp and the OTHER 90 I have is on the engine stand. The problem was, ford built these with 2 piece seals and Id looooooove to change it engine in the truck....
the one I am running right now is gushing oil - 1 qt per tank fillup (I expect the newly cleaned and painted frame/underguts will never rust, but still)
