I "inherited" a 84 Chev 24ft class C motorhome from relatives, after incredible wiring problems with the Chevys wiring harness were resolved, the thing is ready to hit the road..............Only one question: Where the H**L is the jack!, I have looked everywhere and there is no indication it ever HAD a jack!, the PO never even looked!........WTH!, are you just supposed to call Les Schwab or emergency road service if you get a flat?, theres not even a lug wrench to take the spare off its mount!.......Should I buy a floor jack and jack stands to throw in the cargo locker?.....I have always had truck campers, and none of these issues ever came up and nothing ever went wrong with them!
I can't tell ya where it should be, or if it ever had one. Make sure you check under the hood or dog house. Sometimes they will be mounted in there.
Assuming you really don't have one, I would hit Pep Boys and get a hydraulic bottle jack. Make sure it is short enough to fit under the rig when a tire is flat, and make sure it has enough lift to do the job. You'll probably need a 2 stage or even 3 stage. A floor jack is good too, but usually bigger and sometimes won't lay well on the uneven terrain you might encounter.
Good on ya for investigating it in advance of the need. Get the jack, and then practice a flat change in the driveway before hitting the road.
Thanks for making me think. We bought a class C this past Nov. and I never even thought about a jack. I do have a spare tire, now to look for the jack.
Nope, no jack or lug wrench.............nothing, no mention of it at all in M/H manual.........I guess you just stand on the side of the road and wait for help................Bought a 8,000lbs floor jack off Craigslist and found a lug wrench in my garage, gonna let the air out of one tire where its parked in the gravel and see how well it works!
If you live near a Harbor Freight store, they usually have good deals on Hyd. bottle jacks,as well as 4 way lug wrenches.....as you can imagine, there stuff comes from Asia,so you are sending your money overseas....get a couple cans of Fix-a flat, while your at it.....

While you're at it, make sure your spare fits the dualies as well as the front axle.
