What do you prefer on your work shift?? Days or nights.
Mine is 6:00 AM and I would never trade for night shift ever again.
It's better for my kids after school to see them and my wonderful wife.
I feel there is much better quality time for every one here at home for me instead of calling on the phone ...except the honey do stuff from the house boss..
thats the bad part he heeee
I preffer the 11am to 1pm shift, but in reality, Im in the shop at 5am and sometimes don't leave till 11pm.
I should stop reading these post and maybe get home a few hours earlier!!!

My day goes by a lot smoother when SHE'S happy.
And yes, my list includes, roofing "her" garage tomorrow.
I do what it takes, so I can go out and play form time to time.
Now doesn't McDonalds hire the old folks??
You could use me as a refference!!!!
I like the 1430 to 2300 hrs shift because I can get going early to do the chores around my 3 acres before I go to work. Physically the stuff around home is harder than my hospital blood bank job. That way you can work 18 hrs per day... do the hard stuff while you are fresh and while you have daylight hours. It also allowed me to have a second job working day shift. Raised four kids that way and my wife stayed home where she had lots to do also. I'm 70 years old now, mean as hell and still working for a pay check as well as around my place. Pax tecum.
The past two summers I worked 5 pm to 3,4,5 am (depended on how busy we were) and I couldn't stand it. I never saw any of my friends, and if I needed to do something it always had to be done before I headed off to work. I will never go back to working nights again!
Hmmm, I generally start at 1:30AM and work till I'm done. That time varies but usually about 5PM when I set the brakes and shut it down. I guess I work all shifts.
I doubt I'll see night shift again unless I go on cruise. But I always was a night person! I guess because I never was wild about crowds or traffic.
When Miramar was still navy I used to get off early in the AM and drive home seeing all the cars bumper to bumper on the other side of I-15 & wonder how people could stand it...
If I had got stuck in Norfolk I would have to get on a night shift because traffic here is a suicidal proposition. The tidewater area is the worst I have ever seen! There are times of day here where the only things that move are on foot or by boat.
By comparison San Diego is open highway, and highway 51 in Tipton Tennessee is like driving through the Australian Outback...
Pity I couldn't have met a lady long ago who liked computer games, wrenching on motor vehicles, and had a one-eighty out body clock like mine!
i prefer the day ##### 10-4 where i work, but school doesnt allow this except on the weekends so i work 4-9:30, oh well. If i could have any shift it would be 7-3, but i don't know anyone who does that?
My day starts at 7am and finishes at around 7pm. I spend from 9am till 5pm in the office with time for lunch. The remaining hours I take calls and do what has to be done to get something accomplished.
It's my own business so if I don't do it, it does'nt get done.:-)
