I know we are getting into the holiday season so I don't expect anything soon, just want to keep everyone thinking about it.

 

Ideas can be formulated now in the dead of winter, that we can carry out in spring!

How about something simple to start off?................A couple of us guys from the southern end of the valley GTG for coffee some Sat/Sun morning somewhere and use that to plan from there?

 

I'd be interested in a GTG. Before seeing this thread was wondering if there was a chapter event. Maybe something could be worked out in conjunction with another happening, like a swap meet.

 

We have a state wide GTG once a year. This spring we had one in Madras at Joe's place. I'm in the planing stage to have a state wide GTG in either late June or early July here on the Columbia River. I plan on bringing my ski-boat and Dave will probably bring his boat also.

Part of our problem is our state is so big it's hard on people to drive a long distance just for a GTG. This is why I appointed Dave as assistant CL because he is on the west side, and can plan GTG's for the west side locals.

 

where at on the columbia river don?

 

Probably at the state park at the mouth of the John Day River. It's less than 100 miles from Portland, great bass fishing, and very nice facilities!

 

what about going out to multnumah falls for a get together

 

Good idea, BUT, no camping, no place to launch a boat, and way to many tourists!
