Backup sensors
Hey anyone played with back up sensors on their super duty? I wanted to install them on my 09 f550 cab and chassis. Wondedring what kind of wires the sensor harness(imagine its just 2-20 guage wires) are? Also where is the alarm located or display? Any info would be grerat.

Putting in a stock back up system in to a vehicle without will be a tricky and probably expensive project. On my 2002, I am not sure where the buzzer is, but I believe it's a programmed feature and to turn it on, you will need either a J2534 pass thru or a good ford dealer. In either case, it will probably require a hack to binary or you will have to dig up a matching "as built" file for your truck with the back up sensors.
I think it would be much easier to install a kit like Echomaster's or one of the step bars with wireless backup sensors. Echomaster's kit looks pretty stock and works about the same.
