Hot start trouble
Hey all, I've got a '91 Bronco with the Lightening engine in it and I've been experiencing what seems like Heat Soak in the starter, but I've never experienced this with a Ford. Is there an additional heat shield for the Lightening that's not on the stock 351 ? It's possible I've got a bum starter as well. I've already replaced the cables, solenoid, and had the battery load tested. I haven't had the starter checked yet because if I need to put in a heat shield I'd like to do that all at once. Any thoughts ? Recap...starts great cold, and for the 5 minutes or so after I shut it off, but if it's more than 5, I might as well plan on a 30 minute stop.
