warning about not using in 2007 models?

I have been using rotella 5W-40 synthetic oil in both my powerstrokes and my kids 7.3 IDI for about a year and everythings fine. Great mileage too. I was about to change the oil in my tractor though and noticed a warning on the back of the oil jug.

It says not for use in 2007 model year diesels.

My tractor is a 2007 model year diesel! It's a New Holland with about 400 hours and 300 of that it's been running synthetic oil. Rotella synthetic is half the price of the dino oil at the dealer too. I never buy anything from that tractor dealer anymore! Ripoffs!

Anyway, Is that just some emissions thing for why they say not for use in 2007 models? This tractor does have a cat on the stack, fairly large all manual, no computer controlls, diesel. I had a lot of warranty problems with it last year all related to a messed up 25 dollar fuel pump but never any engine issues at all.

I'm just trying to keep the same oil stocked in the shop for everything is all. Please let me know if it's ok in my new tractor and why the bottle says that in the first place if anyone knows.
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure they are refering to 2007 highway vehicles. But I'm not sure why that warning would be on the container. Checking the product data sheet lists no such prohibition. http://www.shellusserver.com/product...TSynthetic.pdf

Check your tractor's user manual. I believe most tractors only require API CF or CF-4 oils. If so, I'm sure you're fine.
